Simple and Ultrahigh Efficient Superhydrophilic Polydopamine-coated TiO2 Cotton for Oil–water Separation

Abstract Oil–water mixing has brought many problems to a society, and it is of great significance develop simple, convenient, efficient, durable separation material solve the problem oil–water mixing. In this paper, modified cottons were successfully prepared using polydopamine as in situ mineralization site TiO 2 nanoparticles combined with synergistic crosslinking KH550. A large number hydrophilic groups endowed cotton superhydrophilic ability, which greatly shortened its water spreading time. The could be separated from oil water, still had efficiency 99.999% after 50 cycles. addition, 24 h immersion 1 M HCl, NaOH, NaCl solutions abrasion experiments, showed excellent was above 99.990%. Successfully provided simple preparation method prepare high-efficiency clean for separation.
